PREPARING A MANUSCRIPT FOR JILP
Please read the following instructions carefully.
FINAL PAPER FORMAT
JILP does not emply a copy editor staff to format papers for publication. We rely on the paper authors for typesetting.
- Please review the format of papers in the most recent volume of
JILP as shown on the website.
- LaTeX
macros may be found here.
- Microsoft Word template may be found here. (Thanks to Prof. A. Uht
of the University of Rhode Island for developing these)
- Papers published with other typesetting systems (e.g.,
Framemaker)
MUST conform to the format. See past papers for
examples of this format in action.
- Note that bibliographical format follows the IEEE Transactions
format. Please use citations and build your bibliography in that
style. ACM or other formats will not be accepted.
- It is extremely important that you match these formats.
Failure to do so will result in rejection of your final manuscript.
- Note that the month/year of submission and the month/year of
publication should be correctly specified.
REVISION REPORT
If your paper has been accepted conditional on a revision, you must
follow these instructions:
Revise the paper as outlined by the reviwers' requests.
Prepare a Revision Report. This document must contain a list of
all
comments by the reviwers, identified by reviewer indication (eg,
Reviewer A, Reviewer B, etc.). You must respond to each comment. Your
response must indicate one of two actions:
- You made the changes as outlined, or
- You disagree with the changes-- please justify why the changes
are not required.
Please note that the reviwers will be allowed to decide the final
fate
of your paper based on the revision report and the final version of the
paper. Thus, if you elect option (b) above for any comment, it is
recommended that you provide a persuasive argument as to why you did
not make the requested changes.
